Lever concept

When you are put into a group with a bunch of total strangers whom you just met, it is always exciting to see how things are going to work out. It can go either way; your group might learn how to co-operate with one another to get the task done, or the whole of the group could just even explode as one might not be able to tolerate the other, which in the end still leaves you with a 50-50 chance of getting the job done. That is the nature of working in a group, in fact, that is the hard hitting truth when it comes to working with people. We are all different in our own ways, our disciplines and beliefs are led us to work in many different ways, but should we let all those differences be in our way, jeopardizing the main purpose we are here in the first place? I don't think so.

Person A is a silent worker, while person B is a talkative lad. If I as an employer put the two of them together to work alongside of each other, can the combination of the two be profitable for me? Can they learn to work with one another?

One might argue that yes they can work simply because they somehow compliment each other. Person B can make the work experience of person A way more lively and fun, accompanying him along the way with random conversations, creating a vibrant environment for the both of them to work with, hence affecting their productivity.

On the other hand, what if person B talks too much, or the topics that he talks about all day only end up irritating his co-worker instead? They would surely be at each other's throat, something I would surely not want happening in my company.

There exist a balance where one can tolerate someone, making him able to work alongside with person B. A very delicate equilibrium point that is beyond any means, hard to distinguish as people comes with their emotions and beliefs. This is where many of us should learn to stand on, the fulcrum with stabilizes both ends of the lever. Establish the line, and careful not to cross it, cause the consequences would be deadly.

I leave the rest to you.......
