My bro....

Image
My mum surprised me yesterday when she told me that my brother successfully got a scholarship to do Medicine in Russia. While she was talking to me on the phone, I can frankly sense the spark of happiness in her tone. Though Russia was not part of the original idea, which was Egypt where Amalina is now, but nevertheless, their main concern was more about the placement and for him to be able to study the course of his choice, and the other thing was also the funding, of course. Reminiscing time Having only three brothers, I don’t have much an example to be followed. What more when our parents seem to let us determine our own path independently. Just like last time when I asked my dad on what am I to pursue after my SPM, his words to me was,’ Its your future, so it is entirely up to you to choose from. I won’t give you any suggestions because you ought to know your own capabilities by now. All I can do for you is to advice you based from my experiences and that’s all.’ Doing Economics

No artist without an audience

Some of my friends are having their last CIE paper as I am typing this. They would surely be very happy, some even already had plans to celebrate, Ikram even tried to persuade me and the rest of us to go out with him tomorrow to watch Fast 5. Well, who could blame them. As soon as they set their foot out of the hall at about 3 pm, they will surely be partying their hearts out tonight. Everyone is waiting for that moment, the feeling of relief when a heavy load has been lifted of you. Then again, the wait for the upcoming result may be more anxiously painful rather than having to sit for the exams itself. Well, lets put that academic topic aside for a moment. Is it the fans or the artists themselves are what makes them famous? That's one of the question posed by Bna today while Hana and me were having lunch with her. Btw, we had a quarter chicken today, just in case you're wondering. I think artists, being part of the media world, they are highly dependent upon the respon

Being an attorney

I am not here to talk about exams, not that they are not important, yes it is crucial that I get those grades that I needed, but focusing on my exams does not mean that I can’t take some time of thinking about other stuff as well. If you know me well enough, then you ought to know that my mind never stays put in one place, my body does not seem to coordinate very well with my head, and that is a true story. If you find me waving my hands to you standing right in front of me, but my head is looking to my side, which is just normal for someone like me. I was watching this movie Lincoln Lawyer last night and it got me thinking, can I be a lawyer? I have no such interest not in the past nor even now, is it just another crazy idea of mine. I just thought that maybe I can become a lawyer, but all I need is to brush up on my communication skills so that I can become even more convincing with my arguments as well as get that seriousness that I seem to lack. I can be serious if I want to. I d

This is my girlfriend~

hye everyone, this is Bna my girlfriend! Celebrating our 7th months being together, I could have never been happier when I'm with her! Just look at how cute she is! hehehe~ Sadly though, we won't be able to celebrate our anniversary together this year, but there's always next year, right? Initially, I was planning to get her something to commemorate this date, but unfortunately I didn't have time to prepare. Guess her present just gonna have to wait for a little while. Hope she won't mind... Goodluck in your exams next week, dear! I know you'll do well in it, you've been working so hard the past few months with your revision and exercises.

Gamble!

This is one of my favorite music from the movie Meet Joe Black. I know it may sound a bit sad and emotional, but to me, it is soothing. I can still remember how I one cried my eyes out listening to this while writing something. Today is our first day of study leave. I still haven't been able to grasp the mood much yet, but I've already started my gameplan, so it's only a matter of time before I get into gear. The stakes are high this time around, just like how it was when most of us were about to sit for our SPM a couple of years ago. Now the game is different, but if in my own words, I must say it is a normal part of life that we all had to go through. Life's always a gamble, nothing ever comes easy, while the stakes are always high. Either win it or lose it all. (Just finished my FP2 and I had nothing better to do.hua3) I leave the rest to you.......

What do you most appreciate about your mom?

The smalls make the big looks even bigger

When was the last time a miracle happened to you? If you are to answer this with a ‘no’, then sadly you are an ungrateful person. A miracle does not have to be when you win the lottery nor does it only occur when you get the impossible wish you have been dreaming for ages, it is all around us as we speak right now. Take a closer look, go ahead. Take a good look around you. Every little thing that we do each day is bound to make this world we’re living in a better place. The small details that we tend to miss out; those are what actually help shape our lives. Unfortunately, many of us, myself included, seemed to take things for granted. Our eyes only see what we want to see, which is why we only appreciate certain things in life. We say our thanks when someone lends us a hand, or when we got a present from our friend, but about our friends who’s always there for us all the time, sticking up for us in both good and bad times? Maybe we don’t have to say it out loud, it’s more than enoug

Royal Wedding : brief review

Image
Last week, all eyes were on Britain while millions of people around the globe witnessed the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. The royal couple was married in Westminster Abbey, which is a very historic site if I must say. A mainly Gothic church built by King Edward the Confessor; a church mainly used for big events such as the coronation of a new royalty. So alright, since I have not much time to spare on this, I'll just cut through the chase and move on to the highlights of the wedding. When everybody else is busy watching Princess Beatrice's funny looking hat and admiring how elegant the bride's dress is, I was more into watching the household cavalry that was escorting their carriages back to Buckingham Palace. It seems very exciting to be riding a horse, while the army uniform gave them a sturdy look. Besides, I am a big fan of swords and blades! I really need to learn how to ride a horse one day soon. And the other main highlight of the day wa

A crazy yet trustworthy man

Perhaps many of you out there are wondering,' why must his hands go up in the air as if he's rapping whenever he's talking?'. One of the reason has something to do with me being a big fan of Jack Sparrow. Just look at his hands! I don't know whether any of you noticed it or not, but in all of the Pirates of the Caribbean series, Jack Sparrow always seems to have quite some peculiar hand gestures. His hands would always move in a way as if he was drunk all the time. I think maybe I am affected by the movie a little bit. Besides, this guy is just plain funny. I like his character, how he brings himself, being all care-free, living his life on his own terms. At times, though he may not seem like a guy who you would have much faith in, reality is, he is highly reliable, it's just that he doesn't show it. This guy right here, is the perfect example how appearances do not matter much, as long as one stays true to his goals. To me, that is how I want myself
