Terrorism, my take on it

Life is full of surprises while the future is uncertain. The world is once more shocked by the massacre which took place in Oslo, Norway last weekend, China’s bullet train was derailed, Amy Winehouse died unexpectedly at the age of 27 in London. So many things are going on in this world, things that we would never be able to see coming, not even with all the sophisticated technologies we possess at present. Random shocks that happen out of the blue, especially when we least expect it to could really leave us in awe.

Tragedies serve as punishments, as some may put it. A wake-up call reminding us that God is always watching us from up above. Unforeseen events such as these are eye-openers, awakening us from our deep slumber, it is about time we all realize that we are all part of the much larger plan made by the Creator Almighty. Hopefully this show of force by God would bring back the strayed to rightful path. A sign for the forgetful beings that we are, that our stay here on earth is temporary, as they said, nothing lasts forever, neither does us.

If we are to look at these events carefully though, we might see something totally different. A few of them are actually a signal how ignorant the world we’re living now is. Yes the unforeseen natural events are unexplainable, but take acts of terror for example. Maybe what they did was indeed inhuman, taking the lives of thousands of innocent souls, but why did they resort to doing such in the first place? Not that I am a fan of watching these acts of terror, if it were to happen right in front of my eyes, I would honestly be no different, but for just a minute, have we ever wondered that maybe they did all those things to send a message to the world?

In the civilized world, if there is something wrong with the system, we would fill up the feedback form to pass on our in-satisfaction to the authorities so that changes could be made. That is how we make ourselves be heard to those up sitting up there. Remember back when we were babies, when we longed for milk what do we do? We cried to let our moms know that we’re hungry.

Acts of terror are evil and condemnable for sure, but if we are to look at them differently they are no different than those hungry babies, asking for milk from their mothers. These terrorists exist for a common cause, to make a change in this world that seemed unfit to them. The one only different between them and the rest of the world population is they chose to use the knowledge that they have to make statement in a most scary way, by sacrificing the lives of others, deeming it as a necessary collateral damage for a much bigger cause of theirs.

Conclusion: Life is short, heck that’s why we ought to make the best of what we have today.- wuffy

I leave the rest to you…….
