What's in my typical bag to uni?

 
Here are the things that I usually carry with me every day to uni:
  • MacBook Air 11" (credits to Lin, a lady in Kelana Jaya who sold her Air to me last summer. This laptop is strictly for work purposes as it's fitted with only 64Gb of flash drive)
  • a couple of cables and a USB adapter- in case my i5 runs out of juice, but that rarely happens
  • USB drive big enough to load my whole work folder- just in case I needed work done in places where WIFI is off limits
  • lots of A4 papers- blank papers work best for me since I mostly work with diagrams and equations.
  • black, blue and red pens, one of each
  • drinking water (I really can't leave the house without one these days)
  • beanie- in case of light rain along the way.
  • gloves (my hands tend to get cold easily)
As you can already see, my bag's content is pretty basic. I don't really carry too much with me when I'm working since I found it counter-productive.

I have an idea, lets make a video project!

Last week, days before I sat for my first paper, I had this crazy idea for a video.  Given that this is the third and final year for my friends and me, I figured why not film a video about it. In the video, the host could ask them questions like: what is your best experience here so far?  how do you feel about finishing your studies soon?  will you miss being a university student? having studied overseas for the past three years, what are your words of advice to students back home?  then somewhere in there, if possible, we could even make some sort of a shout out to our sponsors! Thank you this/ that for making our dreams come true or something like that.  Alright, maybe the questions sound a bit cliche, but I am hoping that the participants would give out interesting responses to them. Leaders?!

As I said yesterday, I had my oral exam earlier today. Please don't even bother asking me how it went. As always, things didn't go as I had planned it to. I mean, of all things, I didn't expect myself to stumble upon plural conjugations as well as the basic command words such as 'what' and 'how'. Lucky for me it went by pretty quickly that it ended before I even realized it. Well at least I got hold of a decent conversation with Luay Hasan, the other Arabic lecturer before my exam started since I got there earlier than expected. The rest of my afternoon was spent on biting away my Subway while watching a new episode of The Apprentice UK followed by another show about the preparation Venice undergo through last year when the Pope came to visit, then just before the sun sets for the day I managed to finish one more documentary about Britain's monarchy, highlighting the era of its Queens. 1st post from London

So here I am in London UK. My last farewell in KLIA didn't turned out as I hoped it to be. It is kind of sad when I thought back about it during my 12 hour plus flight that day. One of the most unforgettable moment while on the flight was when the plane was about to take off. I stared out the window together with Ashraf and Amin until the plane was no longer touching Malaysian soil. To be totally honest, that was the saddest moment. I felt like going up to the pilot and make him turn the plane around. It sure felt like a dream. When my dad woke me up at 4 that day, I was still very sleepy and blurred. Then as I got into the shower, it suddenly occurred to me that today is the D-Day, the big day when I leave this place I call home for London. 12 hours plus in the plane was indeed very tiring!
