Result day

Big today, huh. The expectations and fears of many hangs in the balance, not to mention it even decides how the next year is going to be like, whether a re-sit would be necessary or not. At 9, my friends have begun to bombard my phone, while I was still nicely tucked in bed with my bear. Oh the ringing and the texts, I quickly jumped out of bed and get into the shower, with my Bluetooth all charged, I called Miss Sarah. Honestly, I didn't expect her to pick up at first try, but she did! I was kind of in awe for a moment before my tongue finally got hold of itself to say to her good morning. When she told me I got an A for my Econs, I was so grateful; told the news to my dad who happened to walked on me after I put the phone down, next is surely Sabrina!


Sadly though, Sabrina didn't get an A for her Econs. She was devastated about it as she's worked so very hard for it all these while. To make it even worse, I can't be there to help her to prepare for her November paper after this. Well, maybe I can't be there physically, but I promised myself that I won't let her go through this alone, I'll try to support her the very best I can even when I'm away. 


You know, one of the most amazing things I noticed is the fact that Asyiq and Bukhari both successfully got A* after re-sitting their AS exams twice. God's blessed their efforts. Their efforts and patience have finally paid off. Flashing back on those days, the three of us were quite a handful to Pn Akhsara, we were like the three mischievous musketeers, always laughing, making jokes and more. In the end, the two of them managed got through it all even with immense pressure on them, having to go through both AS and A2 at the same time. If it was me, I don't think I would be able to cope with such a situation.

Last week, days before I sat for my first paper, I had this crazy idea for a video.  Given that this is the third and final year for my friends and me, I figured why not film a video about it. In the video, the host could ask them questions like: what is your best experience here so far?  how do you feel about finishing your studies soon?  will you miss being a university student? having studied overseas for the past three years, what are your words of advice to students back home?  then somewhere in there, if possible, we could even make some sort of a shout out to our sponsors! Thank you this/ that for making our dreams come true or something like that.  Alright, maybe the questions sound a bit cliche, but I am hoping that the participants would give out interesting responses to them. As I said yesterday, I had my oral exam earlier today. Please don't even bother asking me how it went. As always, things didn't go as I had planned it to. I mean, of all things, I didn't expect myself to stumble upon plural conjugations as well as the basic command words such as 'what' and 'how'. Lucky for me it went by pretty quickly that it ended before I even realized it. Well at least I got hold of a decent conversation with Luay Hasan, the other Arabic lecturer before my exam started since I got there earlier than expected. The rest of my afternoon was spent on biting away my Subway while watching a new episode of The Apprentice UK followed by another show about the preparation Venice undergo through last year when the Pope came to visit, then just before the sun sets for the day I managed to finish one more documentary about Britain's monarchy, highlighting the era of its Queens. Kisah si ayah dan anaknya....

Today I would like to share a story with all of you; a story about a father and his son. Si anak sedang menuntut di sebuah kolej di ibukota, manakala bapanya tinggal di kampung bersama si ibu. Pada suatu hari, si bapa menelefon anaknya untuk bertanya khabar. Mereka berdua mula berbual tentang pelajaran si anak, kesihatan dan perihal keadaannya di sana; suatu dialog yang sering didengari antara seorang bapa dan anaknya. Setelah beberapa minit, si bapa memulakan ceritanya. Rupa-rupanya, si bapa ingin bercerita tentang kereta baru yang dihadiahkan oleh si abang kepadanya.
