Cousin visit

Last Sunday, March 3rd, my cousin came to visit me here in London. She was on her way back from the States where her husband had a business meeting of some sort. This was one hell of an experience for me as it was the very first time I had a family over, so yeah I was kind of excited about it (besides the fact that my mom would be mad at me if she learnt that I did not treat family right, plus this was actually my first time as a tour-guide. Shocking, I know, having been here for almost a couple of years, but I'd never once been the one to bring people around for a tour, guess I am that lazy, huh.

To the left is a screenshot of what I had intially planned for them the night before. I had to admit, I was pretty nervous the night before. One of my biggest worry is not being able to wake up on time tomorrow morning to receive them in Heathrow since their American Airlines flight are scheduled to touchdown by 7:45 AM, ona Sunday! So, being someone who is famously known as incapably lazy to wake up in the morning, I had a reasonable scare that night.
So how did I managed to pull it off? That night, as soon as I am done making my tiramisu, I decided that the only way for me to be able to wake up in time tomorrow morning was if I was made to sleep in an uncomfortable way, or in other words, I need to sleep anywhere but on a bed!

Other that the having to wake up very early, the rest of the day went pretty smooth, Alhamdulillah. As it turns out, the weather was also very nice, they had a sunny Sunday here in London. I brought them for lunch in Pak Awie, had a very nice long chat with the wife of the owner, not to mention the food was simply awesome! Man, I love the interior of that restaurant, sadly though that place was not as famous compared to other Malaysian restaurants here in London, I guess the location was partly the reason. Then off we went to Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, No. 10, London Eye and finally Harrod's.

And just for the record, for my next visit to Harrod's, can somebody do let me know if there is any mosques or Islamic centres around that area so that I do not have to once again had to perform my prayer in the fitting room? Yes, it is VERY spacious in there, but the promoters are much to nice that when I grabbed a pair of suit just to pretend that I want to try it on while I was only looking to get inside to pray, he went to look for a pair that was would suit me best before letting me in! Talk about a waste of time! Nevertheless, he was so friendly, and if I was a real customer, I would really appreciate having him around, but today's not the day my man.
