Elbow- The Night Will Always Win I spent the whole of Friday night playing this game, and I gotta tell you, it was worth it! The game was very awesome indeed! I love how dynamic and flexible the whole game play experience was. I get to choose which ever way I wanted to approach the game, and this will eventually have an effect of the final ending, which I was informed there are four different versions of depending on how the player choose to play the game. This scene was the opening cinematic before the game even get to the opening 'Start Game' screen. I like the song very much. Yes, it is very depressing, but in a way it reminded of how my past shaped me into who I am today. Personally, I like the antagonist, Raul Menendez very much. Yes, you might argue that he is a bit of a lunatic who wants to destroy the world just because of the grudge he holds against the capitalists for all his suffering, particularly when the blood of his beloved sister, the only member of his f...

Why I like this song?:  Yes, I know that I may not look like a Nasyid-song lover, but last night on our way back from the Nadira's house-warming, all of a sudden I heard a tune ringing inside my ears while I was not even wearing my earphones the whole journey! To be even more truthful, I may have never even liked the song before! When Afiq Walid heard that I was listening to this, he quickly told me that it was about the story of life; on how when an individual is borne into the world he is comparable to that of a newly planted seed. Then the song continues on until the seed grows into a tree all the way until it dies. In short, it is a reminder to us all of how brief and full challenging our life is.

Why I like this song?:  This is a very sad song with very deep lyrics. When I first listened to it, I honestly thought that it was a soundtrack from a TV series or a movie because the song was sooo deep and meaningful. It tells a story about a guy who is deeply in love with a girl (as always), but the twist in the plot is when that he secretly sick. He is counting his last days while at the same time he still cares for her. Hence, the title of the song, he wishes that she would find another guy to take his place when he is gone while at the same time the song contains his last words for her. It is a memento he left behind for her when he is gone. Credits to Rahimah for introducing me to this very powerful song!

Why I like this song : Quite frankly, I've heard this song being played on the radio back when I was driving in Malaysia. At the time, I was not so sure who the artist was, but all I know was that she sure could sing. Heck, I even thought that it was either Yuna or one of those young rising stars, you know, this being the era of Najwa Latif and all. Until yesterday when Nick played this song on his lappy. Does this song have anything to do with my mood at present? Well, urmmm I guess so, yeah it does. But given that I only have one more week to spare before the beginning of a new academic  year, I guess I should start warming up and continue with my daily routine last year, and adapt if necessary given that the circumstances have changed now that I am now staying at quite a distance from campus. Missing you.......

Why I like this song: I am pretty sure that this song is familiar to most of you guys out there, but nevertheless, it just suits my mood. To go back to 'merantau' again is never an easy thing to do; if you think that for a guy who left home since he was thirteen years old this should be routine, the truth is, it's not as simple as it looks. Everytime I get on the road, my heart will long for home, thinking about those who I left behind, hoping & praying hard to God to keep them safe. This one's for you...

Sleeq ft. Najwa Latif - Untuk Dia (Acoustic Version) Why I like this song?: To begin with, I don't even know who Najwa Latif actually is. I've heard of that name long ago, but I've always thought that she must have been one of my friends' sister or something like that. Sorry, but I don't really follow all this VLog or famous bloggers, they just don't appeal to my interest. I started to know this song when I was driving back to my kampung in Kemaman during the Raya holiday. It came up on the radio and it sounded funky to me. Then being a curious bug that I am, I started to look it up on the Internet until I stumbled upon this acoustic version of it. Nice huh~ The lyrics are not so bad, but come on, for a mixed song such as this one, you shouldn't put your hopes too high, eh? Enjoy~ I leave the rest to you.......

Why I like this song?: Last Wednesday night, as we got home from terawih, I spent some time with my family in front of the tele when this movie was on. I am not a big fan of Malay movies much, not because I look down on them, but they do have quite a high tendency to be repetitive in terms of their plots. But that night, for some strange reason I was too lazy to actually care, so I watched the entire movie until the end while chatting with my family. Oh, did I mentioned that the whole of my dad's family was here that night? Yeah, they came all the way from Kemaman the day before because my aunt was diagnosed with cancer and was referred to HKL for further check-up; but hat is an entirely different story altogether, so let's save that for a bit later. Back to the song~ Yes, the movie really got to me, that I looked up on the Net for it the net day. And yes, as expected I downloaded it and re-watched it last night. I like this song very much, because it's sad. Not that i...

I was about to go out just now until I realized that my bike's front tire is punctured, so before I go and fix it I decided to post the song of the week. If any of you noticed I've posted a couple of songs for my friends on the day they left for Malaysia last week, so this time it is my turn! This is my soundtrack for coming back home this summer! Happy summer y'all!

Why I like this song?: One day as I was browsing through the files in my laptop looking for a good song to listen to I came across the movie Sepi. I remembered that I've already watched it before, back when I was in KTJ. Given that there was no other movies worth watching at the time, I said to myself, what the heck, why not watch it all over again. Surprisingly, even though this is my second time watching it, the movie still managed to get me. I was touched all over again. In the end, when all the four love stories are connected into one, this song was played. Again, I tried typing the name of the song on Winky, then voila! They say that parting is a natural way of life, it is just one of those inevitable things in life, the other one we are more familiar with has to definitely be death. Do not get me wrong, this has nothing to do with my love life. Haha. I have bigger things to do at the moment. I leave the rest to you.......

Song of the week+ Moral from 1st paper

Image
I am back peeps! I just arrived from my first paper, Management Principles. Honestly, it was such a drama earlier today. Me and Hasan arrived at the venue which is near Liverpool Street 10 minutes before the exam started, and instead of heading to the ground floor, I went to the first floor instead. I didn't really know why, but as soon as I got up there I immediately sat in my assigned number seat. Then as the invigilators said we can start, I was so shocked to see that the question paper on my table was MSIN1001 instead of MSIN6001! As it turned out, the exam for my module was actually being held downstairs instead! So the moral of the story: Always check that you're sitting for the right module even though it is in the same hall, you never know!  I did feel a bit panicked at first, but as I sat down in my this time correct seat, I managed to calm myself down, thank Allah. Other than that piece of drama, everything else was alright I guess. The questions were doable, if I...

My head is all messed up right now. To make it even worse, it's spreading now to my biological clock as well as my eating habits too. My spring break is over, didn't do anything much, I was stuck here in London the whole time. Any highlights to it? Surprisingly, none worth mentioning. I was pretty much chained to my desk most of the times. So yeah, back to the topic, last week's song of the week. This is their latest single, performed on The Voice just like they did last year with Move Like Jagger, only this time they did it with Wiz Khalifa. I was pretty much excited when I first noticed that this song featured Wiz in it, I was not expecting them to pull it off, but it turned out I was proven wrong. Why I like this song?: It has a nice ring to it, though you might say the message is pretty much straight forward. What makes it so fun is the lyric video. Have a look at it, it's so cool! It is a bit repetitive, was hoping they might be a bit more creative and add...

Why I like this song? : To be honest, this song was stuck inside my head for the past week. I kept Googling the scene in season 4 when they were in Paris just so that I could admire the emotions. This song is simple, but it's rich with emotions. It is addictive to myself, but am not pretty sure you'd like it as much as I do. But frankly speaking, we've all been in such situations when all we hope for was for someone to hold out a helping hand and get us out of the many troubles we're in. The question is, where do you find your helping hand, and how long will it takes to come for you?

Why I like this song: I don't quite know. I fell in love with the song when I first listened to it when I was in form 5 in SAS. To say that I like an independent type of woman is also untrue, because honestly I am in no shape to say anything. The reason why I chose to post this song up this week was because a friend of mine reminded me of it. Enjoy~

I am in need of a strong motivation right now. My head is so messed up, and so is my life. Sometimes, I really think that I could use a helping hand during days like this. Last weekend I went to the UKEC's Careers Fair in UCL and it got me thinking, where do I see myself in the future? Who would want to employ someone with such as strange as myself, what more with an Economics degree in hand. Oh well, that is just one of the many things running around inside of my head right now.

Sorry for the long absence! Here is last week's Song of the Week! Why I like this song:   This is a sad and lengthy song, if you ask me. But nevertheless, the lyrics are very deep and it touches my heart. To be honest, I never liked this song the first time I listened to it, but now, given the circumstances, all those rough times I've been through lately, this song finally makes sense to me. There is also an English version of it, but somehow, I feel that this Malay version seems to be more meaningful, try and pay attention to the words. They'll touch you, believe me...

Have you ever heard voices inside of your head? No I don't mean it metaphorically, I mean for real! I don't know about you, but there are times when these voices came to me. They are vague at times, I am not particularly sure why they are even in my head in the first head. They kept telling me things which I don't want to hear, but deep in my guts I knew it to be true.

Why this song?: Life is hard, we should all be well aware of that by now. Nothing ever comes easily, not in this life. The ups and downs we face in our everyday life are meant to open our eyes, unlocking our true potentials as well developing ourselves in becoming a better person today than who we were yesterday. But things do get very difficult at times, we would always be needing a helping hand, someone to help us get back on our feet. Won't it be nice to have people like that in our life? Yes we all have our problems, but that does not mean we ought to ignore the problem others face simply because we are too slammed with our own.  Inevitably, we all need the help of others, regardless of how big and powerful of a person we are. Humans would always be in need of assistance, won't it be nice if YOU can be that upper hand offering assistance to another fellow human being when he/she is down? Lend a hand to others, one day your own help will come. Just y...

Sorry for the delay, but I was honestly too busy the last few days for our Malaysian Night. So here it is, the song of last week, in conjunction with Valentine's day a couple of days ago! Yes, I know I am neither supposed to be celebrating nor encourage people to celebrate it, but nevertheless, to celebrate 'love' seems so important to me. I guess, I could say that it is exactly what our world needs in times like this, with the ongoing war plus the recession and many more. Lets open our eyes and take a closer look of the world we're living in from a wider perspectives. Love is the very essence of life, a special force beyond compare. I leave the rest to you.......
