Song of the week


Why I like this song: I am pretty sure that this song is familiar to most of you guys out there, but nevertheless, it just suits my mood. To go back to 'merantau' again is never an easy thing to do; if you think that for a guy who left home since he was thirteen years old this should be routine, the truth is, it's not as simple as it looks. Everytime I get on the road, my heart will long for home, thinking about those who I left behind, hoping & praying hard to God to keep them safe.

I have an idea, lets make a video project!

Last week, days before I sat for my first paper, I had this crazy idea for a video.  Given that this is the third and final year for my friends and me, I figured why not film a video about it. In the video, the host could ask them questions like: what is your best experience here so far?  how do you feel about finishing your studies soon?  will you miss being a university student? having studied overseas for the past three years, what are your words of advice to students back home?  then somewhere in there, if possible, we could even make some sort of a shout out to our sponsors! Thank you this/ that for making our dreams come true or something like that.  Alright, maybe the questions sound a bit cliche, but I am hoping that the participants would give out interesting responses to them. Ranting

I should seriously punish myself for being so lazy in updating my blog. It's not that I am that busy that I do not have the time to actually do it, but the truth is, I am just plain lazy to do so. I mean, yeah, with my tablet and my smartphone, I should have been more active. I love my Tuesdays, not only because this is the day when I get to download new episodes of HIMYM as well as Gossip Girl, but particularly because I have no lectures on the day. Okay, maybe in the near future I might have some tutorials to attend, but since all UCL lectures are in two-hours block, an hour of tutorial goes by right before you know it. But they do get pretty boring and sleepy at times too, or maybe that's just me. Second year, time sure flies by so quickly. I can still vividly recall the memories of last year in my head, both the nice and the bad ones. Kisah si ayah dan anaknya....

Today I would like to share a story with all of you; a story about a father and his son. Si anak sedang menuntut di sebuah kolej di ibukota, manakala bapanya tinggal di kampung bersama si ibu. Pada suatu hari, si bapa menelefon anaknya untuk bertanya khabar. Mereka berdua mula berbual tentang pelajaran si anak, kesihatan dan perihal keadaannya di sana; suatu dialog yang sering didengari antara seorang bapa dan anaknya. Setelah beberapa minit, si bapa memulakan ceritanya. Rupa-rupanya, si bapa ingin bercerita tentang kereta baru yang dihadiahkan oleh si abang kepadanya.
