Song of the week...

Image
Why I like this song: Because of its funky beats. The music itself is composed of a little bit of the old school and modern mix. And besides, the lyrics are nice, so lovely. I wish I knew this song much earlier.

Result day

Big today, huh. The expectations and fears of many hangs in the balance, not to mention it even decides how the next year is going to be like, whether a re-sit would be necessary or not. At 9, my friends have begun to bombard my phone, while I was still nicely tucked in bed with my bear. Oh the ringing and the texts, I quickly jumped out of bed and get into the shower, with my Bluetooth all charged, I called Miss Sarah. Honestly, I didn't expect her to pick up at first try, but she did! I was kind of in awe for a moment before my tongue finally got hold of itself to say to her good morning. When she told me I got an A for my Econs, I was so grateful; told the news to my dad who happened to walked on me after I put the phone down, next is surely Sabrina! Sadly though, Sabrina didn't get an A for her Econs. She was devastated about it as she's worked so very hard for it all these while. To make it even worse, I can't be there to help her to prepare for her November pap...

Results, awaiting

My results are due in a week’s time, maybe less than that since it is already Saturday. Am I scared? Yes, surely I am, I mean who doesn’t when this exam is going to determine where my classmates and I would end up being. Being a scholar, there is an immense amount of pressure put on top my head. My grades are always being carefully monitored by the Human Resource department, and should they find it unsatisfactory, harsh actions could be taken on me. All of my actions are subject to their liking, and they have all the rights to do so since I am by right an investment of theirs. Besides that, I can only apply to the top 10 universities so I have not much of free choices in that. My academic life doesn’t sound too interesting, does it? Don’t get me wrong though, maybe all those things made it sound like it is strict, no room for error in my studies situation, but all in all, they are all there for a reason to push me into further developing myself to go even further. Scared I am to wait...

Another song to share

This one is one of my favourite songs. Well technically it is not so much of a song since there is no singing in it, just music. It so full of emotions and it tells a story, be it of the composers or even of the listeners'. It's a soundtrack from the movie Meet Joe Black. Soothing, don't you think? I don't know about you, but I prefer to listen to this song when I write but not when I am writing my Economics paper or any other academic writing though. Music fueled with emotions, amazing how brilliant it is used as a medium to channel such energy of love to its listeners, no? I leave the rest to you.......

Song of the week...

Why this song?: It's romantic. Haha, sorry guys, but I really do miss Sabrina so much these days, especially cause my days here is outnumbered. God's willing if my result is alright I won't be able to see her as much, so yeah, I kind of wish that I had more time spent together. On top of that, the lyrics are somewhat meaningful, though I am a bit startled by how it relates to the movie. I've recently watched it, and yes the song does fit in, but not as perfectly as I wished it to be prior to seeing it. Nevertheless, this music video seems to capture all the romantic essences in it, so even without seeing the movie you'll be able to enjoy it~ I leave the rest to you.......

Song of the week...

Yes, it's time for song of the week segment again! Now I want to share with you guys a song, not too new I guess, by Maroon 5 featuring Christina Aguilera. This is the premiere of it during The Voice about almost a month ago, if I'm not mistaken. What I like about this song: the funky music~!! The lyrics are alright, I supposed, not too meaningful. But all in all, it's yet another one of Maroon 5 great single. I leave the rest to you.......

Terrorism, my take on it

Life is full of surprises while the future is uncertain. The world is once more shocked by the massacre which took place in Oslo, Norway last weekend, China’s bullet train was derailed, Amy Winehouse died unexpectedly at the age of 27 in London. So many things are going on in this world, things that we would never be able to see coming, not even with all the sophisticated technologies we possess at present. Random shocks that happen out of the blue, especially when we least expect it to could really leave us in awe. Tragedies serve as punishments, as some may put it. A wake-up call reminding us that God is always watching us from up above. Unforeseen events such as these are eye-openers, awakening us from our deep slumber, it is about time we all realize that we are all part of the much larger plan made by the Creator Almighty. Hopefully this show of force by God would bring back the strayed to rightful path. A sign for the forgetful beings that we are, that our stay here on earth is ...
